The Illustrators Stage

The Illustrators Stage will serve as a platform to merge cultures highlighting both international and independent influencers of culture. We wanted to create an interactive experience that gave true innovators of all art genres a location where their artistic integrity can be appreciated and not compromised.

Fallen Star by Do-Ho Suh

This piece is now opened to the public and is part of San Diego’s Stuart Collection at the University of San Diego. This collection was created to enhance the cultural interest of the student body. This installation is Do-Ho Suh’s way of exploring the concept of home and cultural displacement. “Fallen Star” recalls the idea of one’s surrounding both familiar and foreign. I think this is a pretty cool installation. The images of the installation or “house” on the edge of the building is extraordinary. Would totally love to see this in person.

Farm Group: Paddles

Check out creative studio Farm Group’s new installation “Paddles”. The Thai design firm has developed the sculpture for a commercial center in Thailand, it is a collection formed by hundreds of painted wooden rowing paddles, ranging in shades of the color spectrum from deep blue to vibrant greens spanning the length of the ceiling. I think this installation is creates a beautiful design. Let us know what you think!
